Sentinel Academy is a comprehensive two-day course focused on enhancing community supervision practices and prioritizing officer safety. This intensive program covers key areas such as field and office contact strategies, vulnerability assessments, cultivating a survival mindset, and effectively managing hostile confrontations. Participants will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of community supervision with confidence and effectiveness.  The Sentinel Academy incorporates many of the topics covered in our other specialized courses listed below.   

Protector's Edge is a comprehensive program designed to equip participants with essential defensive skills for prioritizing personal safety in the line of duty. Participants will learn to recognize indicators of potential threats, employ effective verbal de-escalation techniques, and execute practical self-defense tactics against various physical attacks, including grabs, strikes, kicks, and edged weapons. The program also includes training in ground defense, enabling participants to confidently handle close-quarters and ground-based confrontations. This valuable training is available to public safety professionals, private organizations, and the general public. 

Safety Net, is a specialized training program tailored for professionals in community supervision. This course equips participants with the essential skills to ensure safe and effective supervision practices in both field and office settings. Participants will develop their ability to identify potential risks, recognize hazardous situations, and implement fundamental principles for effective face-to-face interactions. The program includes specialized instruction on recognizing the characteristics of individuals carrying weapons, including clothing cues, behavioral indicators, and concealment methods. By analyzing past officer incidents, Safety Net aims to improve decision-making capabilities in high-stress situations. 

Risk Aware is a dynamic course designed to equip professionals in the criminal justice field with the skills to effectively detect threats, apply de-escalation techniques, and utilize conflict resolution strategies. The program addresses the specific challenges faced by those supervising individuals within the criminal justice system, with a strong focus on maintaining a secure workplace environment. Participants will also gain valuable skills applicable to navigating high-stakes scenarios beyond their professional duties. Risk Aware can be customized to meet the training needs of private organizations and the general public. 

Justice Uncovered is a comprehensive training program designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct effective and legally sound search and seizure operations. The curriculum covers a range of critical topics, including legal considerations, proper evidence handling procedures, surveillance techniques, and effective team tactics. Participants will engage in practical exercises to develop their proficiency in safely moving through structures while maintaining operational effectiveness and adhering to all legal requirements. 

Rapid Defense is a crucial training program teaching effective responses to active threat situations using the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) approach. Participants will learn about the history and frequency of active threats, civilian response strategies, and key medical considerations, including bleeding control. Practical drills and exercises simulating real-life scenarios will enhance their ability to manage injuries under pressure and navigate complex environments. This course is available to public safety professionals, private organizations, and the public.
